The Old Trafford Football Stadium is also situated in Manchester and is home Manchester United football club. The stadium is the third largest in the United Kingdom with a capacity to seat 75,957. As well as football matches, the stadium also hosts music events boasting past performers such as Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi.
Manchester is home to the famous artist L.S Lowry who is well recognised for his urban landscapes and human figures which are often referred to as "Matchstick Men". A large number of Lowry’s work is displayed in a purpose built art gallery in Salford Quays called simply "The Lowry".
